The alarming decrease in population of the eastern bluebird has made it an endangered species. Competition for nesting sites and the use of pesticides are to be blamed, but cold weather conditions remain the gravest problem. Efforts to save the bluebird have seen promising results.

Reindeer decorations can be readily made by children with easy to follow instructions. Materials such as paper, pencil, scissors and crayons are needed. The reindeer decorations can enhance the holiday season and may be used as tree ornaments or given as gifts.
