World's largest inland deslination plant opens in El Paso

The El Paso Water Utilities has opened their Kay Bailey Hutchison Desalination plant into operation to augment their drinking water supplies and prevent brackish water from seeping into freshwater sources. The facility is worth $87 million and has a capacity of 27.5 mgd.
