A quickly understandable notation system for causal loops for strategic decision makers
Article Abstract:
Strategic decision makers who use computer simulation programs often fail to understand the integral nature of significant variables since only the input and output are demonstrated by the computer. This can be avoided by using an easily understandable notation system for causal loops at the start of the strategy formulating process. This notation system involves direction of influence, amplitude and time delay. In addition, an optional computer graphic display of causal loop diagrams is provided for selected variables.
