Caring for the wounded in the long haul
Article Abstract:
Troops, when they leave their families and friends for war are healthy individuals of soul, mind and body but tragically, a significant number of them come home with missing limbs, terribly burned or with severe brain injuries necessitating them to re-learn to speak or even swallow sips of liquid. The doubt whether the government will be there for them in the long haul exists like a shadow but at the same time a ray of hope is seen in the form of various support systems started by the government to help them cope with the scars and disabilities sustained in the war.
