Coming home to a changed world
Article Abstract:
The returning to normal for the troops re-deploying from the war in Iraq is not easy as the world has changed, and it has become difficult to cope with the stress of war and get back to one normal family life. The military has taken measures to ensure all GIs returning from Iraq get the counseling they need as counselors provide information on recognizing symptoms of combat stress, what is normal and when to seek help for possible post-traumatic stress disorder.

Women change face of military
Article Abstract:
Women roles in the army have significantly changed over the years as in 17th, 18th and early 19th, women donned men's clothing to serve their country. Dr. Mary Walter who was in contract with Army during Civil War was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Andrew Johnson, while Theresa Erickson was the first regular Army nurse to set in Philippines in 1898 and further presently 15% women are serving hand in hand with their male counterparts.

It's time the true heroes of today's wars were honored
Article Abstract:
The genuine hero of the time should be honored who keeps fighting despite the odds if he thinks he can protect his fellow soldiers. As a tribute to such heroes of Afghanistan and Iraq wars, a brief description is presented into the actions of those American in uniform who best epitomize the word hero.
