Employee satisfaction in work groups with different gender composition
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to assess the effects of gender homogeneity on the performance of work groups and employee job satisfaction. Results showed that high group gender homogeneity decreases job satisfaction, with employees working in gender-balanced work groups showing high satisfaction scores. Homogenous male groups showed lowest levels of job satisfaction while homogenous female groups showed moderate levels of satisfaction. Findings support previous study of the enhancing effects of gender heterogeneity on work groups.

An appraisal perspective of justice, structure, and job control as antecedents of psychological distress
Article Abstract:
A sample of 677 employees from 72 organizations were used to study the impact of organizational justice on the employee's psychological and physical health. This study finds that procedural justice, within a primary appraisal role, is a highly helpful device for reducing psychological distress in employees. The methods and the actual questionnaire used are presented in the article.
