Introduction to four key essays from the Gadamer Lesebuch
Article Abstract:
Four important essays taken from the Gadamer Lesebuch are discussed to understand the development of Gagamer's philosophical hermeneutics, in contrast to traditional hermeneutics, and his view of the experience of the artwork. Gadamer clarifies his distinctive way of defining language and understanding, which constitutes a new step in his thinking, making his hermeneutics of special interest to social sciences by combining ancient traditional hermeneutics to the present, both positive and negative.

The temporality of tarrying in Gadamer
Article Abstract:
Hans-Georg Gadamer's interest in temporality as his strategy for advancing hermeneutics as philosophy of experience, a strategy becoming significantly more salient with the appearance of his 1992 essay is discussed. It is argued that Gadamer put in an effort not only to make philosophy more hermeneutic, but also to make hermeneutic philosophy more concrete and oriented to experience.
