The automobile industry produces a product that is more than transportation, it is a lifestyle defined by fashion, speed, mobility, comfort, and above all individual choice. The automobile industry is having difficulty defining the older consumer and most car companies are seeking new approaches to keep older customers and lure younger middle-aged drivers through product innovation.
