On postmodern uses of sex
Article Abstract:
Eroticism in postmodern culture has become self-sufficient, separated from both sexuality and love. This liberation of eroticism can be viewed in relation to other postmodern trends, such as the demise of the 'panoptic' system of social control and the flattening of time as a result of the separation of the present from both future and past. Eroticism has become available to be used in new ways, such as identity construction and the negotiation of interpersonal relations.

Liquid arts
Article Abstract:
An exposition of the idea of 'liquid modernity' is provided against the context of art and artistic practices. Works of certain present day artists are analyzed to explore the concept of 'auto-destructive art' as a response to contemporary consumerism, which demands constant novelty, resulting in a depiction of a flow of short-time, transient images indicative of a directionless flow of time.
