Benefit-cost analysis of residential and outpatient addiction treatment in the state of Washington
Article Abstract:
A cost-benefit analysis of a substance abuse treatment program that combines inpatient and outpatient services as compared to a treatment program that provides only outpatient services is presented. Resultes indicate that both programs provide benefits to society and combines programs are more favorable than partial programs.

Treatment services received in the CASAWORKS for families program
Article Abstract:
Information on treatment services received by women participating in an initial multistate evaluation of CASAWORKS families are presented. The belief that poverty, addiction and victimization are longstanding and intertwined problems for some women on welfare is examined.

One-year outcomes from the CASAWORKS for Families intervention for substance-abusing women on welfare
Article Abstract:
The effectiveness of multiservice intervention designed to move substance-abusing women on welfare to sobriety and self-sufficiency is evaluated by addressing their substance abuse, domestic violence, employment and basic needs. A field evaluation of repeated measures was conducted at 10 different CWF sites.
