System effects on educational achievement: a Brisish-American comparison
Article Abstract:
This study examines the variations in the organization of secondary and post-secondary educational institutions in England and the United States and the effect it has on achievement. The authors find students in U.S. schools have a higher deflection rate than those participating in the British system, even though British schools have a greater stratified and standardized organization.

Sibship sex composition: effects on educational attainment
Article Abstract:
A revised version of the sex minority theory on the harmful effects of increased sibship on educational attainment is presented. The revised version proposes that an increased number of opposite sex siblings has the most detrimental effect on educational attainment.

Explaining sibling differences in achievement and behavioral outcomes: the importance of within and between-family factors
Article Abstract:
The family background differences in sibling correlations on behavioral and achievement outcomes are examined. Results concluded that first born sibling have more academic advantages than later born siblings.
