Marine killed in Iraq receives tribal rites
Article Abstract:
Cpl. Brett Lundstrom would long be remembered for giving his life in Iraq and as Wanbli Isnala, meaning lone eagle by his family in South Dakota for the Marines of the 2nd Bn., 6th Marine Regt., and 2nd Marine Division. Before Lundstrom was buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Colorado, a 42-hour ceremony, including Lakota rituals, took place on the nearly 2 million-acre Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.
