Biologists agree that comprehensive simulations of organisms such as Escherichia coli are possible, including genes, RNA, proteins, metabolites, and so on. An in-the-future model is envisioned that would describe the geometric, electrical, mechanical, and chemical properties of every significant assembly of molecules.
