A model for using videoconferencing technology to support international social work field practicum students
Article Abstract:
The triad model of videoconferencing and the responses of internationally placed social work field practicum students, agencies and university supervisors are described. The triad model of supervision using videoconferencing has resolved many of the students' difficulties and the social work education programs can utilize the new technologies to resolve the challenges for international practicum placements.

Four models of international field placements were developed using qualitative methods, describing the different approaches used by accredit US social work program to place students internationally. These models can assist social work administrators as they seek to develop international field placements.
