Alleviating women's mathematics stereotype threat through salience of group achievements
Article Abstract:
Two experiments were conducted, which investigated whether reminding women of other women's achievements might alleviate women's mathematics stereotype threat. Implications for theories of stereotype threat, self-evaluation, and performance expectations were seen in the results.

An experiment tested women's performance in solo status (SS) and under stereotypic threat (ST). White male and female participants learned information, and then tested on it in an opposite gender (SS) or same-gender group (nonsolo).

Article Abstract:
The performance of women in math tests was investigated on the basis of implicit gender identification. The gender-math stereotyping is found to be crucial in predicting women's math performance.
