An evaluation of men's batterer treatment groups
Article Abstract:
This article examines the effectiveness of 15 treatment groups for abusive men. The authors maintain the men who completed the treatment demonstrated higher self-esteem, better attitudes toward marriage and family, and improved their ability to communicate in a healthy manner.

The effectiveness of a psychoeducational group for HIV-infected/affected incarcerated women
Article Abstract:
Research is presented evaluating group psychotherapy intervention for women prisoners infected or affected by HIV/AIDS, using a pretest-posttest model. Results show that psychoeducational group intervention helps mitigate anxiety, depression and symptoms of trauma.

What children learn from sexual abuse prevention programs: difficult concepts and developmental issues

Research on training children to recognize and report sexual abuse shows the "Who Do You Tell" program significantly improved three items. This study suggests ways to improve sexual abuse prevention programs.
