Anticipated interaction, individual differences in attentional resources, and elaboration of behavior
Article Abstract:
Studies hypothesizing that people are able to recall more of another person's traits and behaviors if they have more attentional resources provided confirming data. Attentional resources of working memory and processing speed were tested by having study participants meet another person after being given behavior information, by performing a digit-digit/digit-symbol tasks, and two different working memory tasks. Results indicate that younger people's attentional resources are greater in that they cluster traits which help them recall behaviors more consistently than older people do.

Organization by person category: stability in the face of differences in attentional resources
Article Abstract:
This article examines the influence of attentional resource availability on person-based processing, or the categorization of social information about unfamiliar people on an individual basis. Findings indicate that changes in attentional resources related to age or secondary task loading reduce recall but do not affect person-based information categorization.

Individual differences in attentional resources and self-complexity
Article Abstract:
This study aims to prove that subjects with increased attentional resources maintain more complex self-characterizations and representations, using the Linville self-complexity scoring method. Topics addressed include the how the subjects' processing speed, working memory, and attention resources may influence social cognitive processes
