Assessing a self-report health measure for non-English-speaking elders: issues in using the SF-36 health survey
Article Abstract:
A study was undertaken to assess the English language comprehension of Chinese, Korean and Spanish immigrants to the U.S. by using the health survey Short Form 36 (SF-36). Results revealed that certain limitations existed and Asians scored higher than Hispanics in comprehension of the health form.

Solution-focused brief therapy groupwork with at-risk junior high school students: enhancing the bottom lines
Article Abstract:
The impact of solution focused brief therapy (SFBT) model on school attendance and grade point average is evaluated. Findings suggest the continued support of the model during a time in which K-12 education emphasizes accountability, hard data and the bottom line.
