Assessing client change in individual and family counseling

Article Abstract:

The outcome data from an ongoing nonintrusive method for evaluating counseling services is presented. The research demonstrates a clinically useful method for assessing counseling services in process and illustrates the improvements in functioning and coping experienced by clients concurrent within their participation in counseling.

The fatherhood scale

Article Abstract:

The initial validation of the Fatherhood Scale (FS) a 64-item instrument designed to measure the type of relationship a male adult had with his father while growing up is reported. The FS is a new assessment tool designed for use by social work practitioners and researchers to assess an individual's relationship with his father.

Organ donation has become a point of debate amongst many with a predominantly large number of people ready to donate their organs after death. A study was conducted to measure the organ readiness amongst African Americans and the results are discussed.
