Assessing transnational organized crime: results of a pilot survey of 40 selected organized criminal groups in 16 countries
Article Abstract:
A project report assessing transnational organized crime based on the results of a pilot survey of 40 selected organized criminal groups in 16 countries undertaken by the United Nations center for international crime prevention is presented. The objective of this report was to collect and present data on different criminal groups spread globally as well as to develop a method by which it can be analyzed and monitored to help policy makers and law enforcement officials working on the phenomenon of organized crime groups around the world.
