Business cycle and homogeneity in the residential built environment: Canada, 1986-1996
Article Abstract:
Enumeration Area (EA) circles are used to identify and explain the pathways of change within residential environments as they relate to the business cycle, and are applied to the Canadian cities of Hamilton, Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. The method analyzes the impact of new construction, reconstruction, conversion and deconversion.

Enumeration area (EA) circles: a new accounting of neighborhood environments in Canada
Article Abstract:
A method of measuring Canadian neighborhood environment characteristics by using data from individual Enumeration Areas, rather than broader Census Tract data, is discussed. The EA data showed many aspects characteristic to given neighborhoods that are not apparent from CT data.

The concepts of foreign direct investment and spatial autocorrelation are discussed. In addition, the spatial concentrating propensity of headquarters within metropolitan environments is tested.
