Article Abstract:
The challenges in measuring concurrency, agency and intentionality in polydrug research, which is of interest to researchers concerned with the drug use of youth and young adults, is detailed. The research shows that polydrug use appears to be taking new forms as youth use multiple drugs concurrently in the same setting to achieve specific desired effects.

Is alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis use as well as polydrug use increasing in France?
Article Abstract:
Recent trends in drug consumption (alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis) and polydrug use among youngsters in a wet and male traditional European country are evaluated. Findings in France indicate that substance use has increased in European countries where alcohol consumption remains very high compared to tobacco and cannabis consumption.
