Problems of measuring social inequality and poverty in Russia
Article Abstract:
A survey was conducted to measure social inequality and poverty in Russia to estimate their levels in post-Soviet Russia. In Russia the people classified as poor are those whose incomes are below the poverty line, a figure that corresponds to the level of the subsistence minimum and represents a level of income that enables a person to obtain the scientifically substantiated minimum array of material good and services in order to maintain his viability.

On the path to a new stratification of Russian society
Article Abstract:
The criteria by which Russian people identify themselves with different social strata are examined, focusing on the impact of social and economic reforms since perestroika. Social, economic, cultural, personal, symbolic and psychological criteria are discussed, and the survival strategies of the poor are examined.

Social exclusion in Russian society
Article Abstract:
A survey was conducted to examine the indicators and main forms of manifestations of social exclusion in Russia. It attempts to determine the risk factors that cause the emergence of exclusion and the correlation between poverty and discrimination.
