Children are abused in eastern countries: a look at India
Article Abstract:
Child maltreatment is one of the most alarming social problems in India, as citizens continue to embrace traditional child-rearing practices. In India, it is believed that moral development may only be achieved by employing stringent disciplinary actions to children, particularly in their early life. Such a belief has promoted the use of corporal punishment in child rearing.

Promoting effective interviewing of sexually abused children: a pilot study
Article Abstract:
A study to examine the interviewing techniques that are effective in use with sexually abused children who do and do not disclose their abuse is conducted. Results conclude the use of patience and understanding and suggest they gather more information from other sources rather than from the abused child.
