Control ratios and defiant acts of deviance: assessing additive and conditional effects with constraints and impulsivity
Article Abstract:
Several gender-related theories are examined by calculating the outcomes of control ratio deficits and surpluses on the gender implications of the control balance theory explored by Piquero and Hickman (2001). An attempt is made to build on these efforts with a measure of frequency of 'defiant' deviance to assess both the additive effects of control ratios and the conditional effects of constraints and impulsivity.
