Effects of variable-interval value and amounts of training on stimulus generalization
Article Abstract:
The form of a stimulus generalization gradient relies on the methodology used to generate it and the training conditions in effect prior to the occurrence of the generalization test. A series of tests was conducted on pigeons to investigate three factors that can affect the shape of a generalization gradient. These factors were rate or schedule of reinforcement used to maintain response during training, dimension of generalization and amount of training. Results indicate that rate of reinforcement does not necessarily determine the shape of a generalization gradient.

Ratio size and cocaine concentration effects on oral cocaine-reinforced behavior
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to systematically investigate the cocaine-maintained response of a group of six adult male rhesus monkeys over a range of cocaine concentrations and fixed-ratio values. Results suggest that orally delivered cocaine may function as a reinforcer for rhesus monkeys and substantial cocaine intake will occur. Findings also support the conclusion that a drug's reinforcing effects increase directly with the dose.

Temporal Context in concurrent chains: I. terminal-link duration
Article Abstract:
Two experiments in which the ratio of the average times spent in the terminal and initial links (Tt/Ti) in concurrent chains was varied, are reported. The results indicate that preference increases as a hyperbolic function of Tt/Ti when terminal-link duration is increased relative to initial-link duration, with the terminal-link schedule ratio held constant.
