Defining religious terrorism: a causal and anthological profile
Article Abstract:
This article provides a unifying definition of terrorism that is understandable in a global context. The author, focusing on Islamic terrorist groups, argues terrorism motivated by religion stems from fanatical groups who have isolated themselves and created their own world based upon fear and chaos in which rationality, reasoning, and the rules of civilization and culture have been abandoned.

Palestinian suicide terrorism in the second Intifada: motivations and organizational aspects
Article Abstract:
This article examines the processes and executions of suicide bombing attacks by Palestinians against Israelis. The author, focusing on motivations and organizational structure, argues the Israeli counter-terrorism strategy can only offer short-term results, and in the long run Israel must reduce incentives that lead Palestinians to volunteer for suicide missions.

Inspiration and the origins of global waves of terrorism
Article Abstract:
The causes of terrorism in at a global level are examined and the chronology of terrorism since the nineteenth century is reexamined. It is proposed that the most important cause of global waves of terror is the inspiring example for radicals everywhere of what are, or seem to be, successful uses of terrorist strategies.
