On the relation between preference and resistance to change
Article Abstract:
Preference in concurrent chains and resistance to change in multiple schedules are correlated in pigeons, as both measures are affected by variations in parameters of reinforcement such as rate, immediacy and magnitude. This correlation exists both within conditions and subjects. Preference and resistance to change are the power functions of relative reinforcement rate and are independent measures of a single construct, as suggested by the positive correlation of their unsystematic variation.

Rapid acquisition of preference in concurrent chains
Article Abstract:
Two experiments were conducted, to determine whether choice would be controlled by the delay in the concurrent schedules. Further, the effects of using infinite number of green-key delays are explored.

Variable-ratio versus variable-interval schedules: response rate, resistance to change, and preference
Article Abstract:
Preference and resistance to change partly depend on obtained reinforcer and response rates. This finding challenges the independence of resistance to change proposed by behavioral momentum theory.
