Ease of recall moderates the impact of relationship-related goals on judgments of interpersonal closeness
Article Abstract:
Research suggests that judgements of interpersonal closeness and relationship quality are mediated by how easily the subject can recall key interpersonal information. Dating couples were asked to recall several interdependent goals, and it was hypothesized that closeness would be higher for individuals who found it easy to recall these goals.
