Effects of a personalized system of skill acquisition and an educational program in the treatment of obesity
Article Abstract:
A study was undertaken to assess whether the delivery of reinforcement contingent on the mastery of behavioral changes could enhance the efficacy of behavioral treatment, with a secondary aim of evaluating the effectiveness of a minimal intervention education program to produce weight loss. Results indicate that the addition of a personalized system of skill acquisition (PSA) may not lead to a better outcome than standard behavioral treatment.

General and alcohol-specific social support following treatment
Article Abstract:
General and alcohol-specific support can affect drinking behavior. Several alternative hypotheses were tested to examine the link between support and drinking at two posttreatment points, short term and longer term. Alcoholic-specific support mediate s the link between general support and proportion of days abstinent (PDA), and both general social support and alcohol-specific support are moderators of one another in their links to PDA.
