Entrepreneurial activities in post-Soviet societies: impacts of social psychological characteristics
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to ascertain the role of social psychological characteristics on entrepreneurial activities of young adults in post-Soviet societies. Results suggested that greater self-esteem and a higher internal locus of control in late adolescence increased the chances of engagement in entrepreneurial activity when the individuals reached their late twenties.

Communist Party members: incentives and gains
Article Abstract:
The study analyzes longitudinal data on a sample of Estonians born in the late 1940s, to compare Communist Party (CP) members and non-members on issues such as education, career, and ideologies. Results show that CP members were generally males with a university education holding managerial or professional positions.

Income inequalities in the Baltic States
Article Abstract:
The effects of shock therapy on the first years of transition in Latvia and Estonia, and the factors influencing trends in income mobility during this period, were studied. Results show that human capital, education and activity in labor relations result in higher incomes and upward mobility.
