The impact of opposites: implications of trait inferences and their antonyms for person judgment
Article Abstract:
This article compares the effects of priming using trait inferences and their antonyms on person judgement. Results indicate that priming affects person judgments in both conditions, but the effect is mediated by the relevance and extremity of the trait inferences and whether they describe personal or behavioral characteristics.
