Aging policies, entitlements, and the deficit
Article Abstract:
The Clinton administration uses already mandated and earmarked funds to undertake systematic experimentation, using elders to help in solving the problems of long-term care of neglected, abandoned and abused children. However, there will not be enough money to expand entitlements and fund domestic programs on the scale desired to meet the needs. Mark incentives, psychological incentives, coercion and service credits are the strategies used to attract the interest of the elders.

Commentary on the closing of a social health maintenance organization
Article Abstract:
The closing of a social health maintenance organizations brings about several concerns related to the need for consumer protections in private long-term care insurance. It also promotes issues related to the viability of integrating health and long-term care insurance for the aged. Such organizations provide benefits that are beyond the scope of Medicare coverage. These include prescription drugs, case management, and home and community-based care services.
