The new Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules allow the customers to retain their mobile numbers when they switch wireless providers. Though the customers may acquire lower rates and better service without reprinting business cards and changing coordinates, they would still have to pay the early termination fees, if they decide to switch carriers immediately.
