In the third space: A case study of Canadian students in a social work practicum in India
Article Abstract:
The experience of Canadian social work practicum in India has helped in studying how to enhance faculty support to international field work students. The support has included regular email contact and recognition of conflict experienced by students in integrating western social work models in practice in India.

Social welfare conditions of migrant transnational Latino in U.S. and the need for specialized social work practice for welfare of vulnerable migrants are discussed. The social welfare conditions affecting the Latino transnational migrants should be considered while developing the social services in the U.S.

What is the extent and nature of quantitative research in British social work?
Article Abstract:
Study of social work literatures reported from 2000 to 2004, in a British Journal has revealed that papers reporting quantitative findings account for only one fourth of the literature. The U.K. studies are mostly cross-sectional studies rather than complex studies using sophisticated statistical methods.
