Internationalizing the struggle against neoliberal social policy: The experience of Canadian women
Article Abstract:
Canadian women have taken it upon themselves to advocate discrimination against women and are forming groups to organize and act globally in the face of neoliberal challenges. The UN Women's Convention stands for the elimination of discrimination against women and contains various provisions that bind state-parties to support the full realization of women's rights which include right to healthcare, right of equality within marriage, right to education and the right to be protected in employment.
