Methamphetamine use behaviors and gender differences
Article Abstract:
The study describes a range of (methamphetamine) MA-related behaviors and examines problems for a sample of clients, treated in a large publicly funded treatment system. The results indicate that more male-female similarities in substance use behaviors than differences; however, significant differences exist that may have implications for gender-specific research as well as for prevention and treatment strategies.

Fast screening for alcohol misuse
Article Abstract:
The sensitivity and specificity of the Fast Alcohol Screening Test (FAST) across ages, gender, and locations using the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) as the gold standard is explored. epidemiological surveys
Article Abstract:
The Quitting Time for Alcohol Questionnaire (QTAQ) was developed to provide a tool for assessing the reasons behind cessation of drinking in one episode. Confirmatory factor analysis was not provided by these findings. By using a sample of 300 community drinkers, an attempt was made to address this shortcoming.
