Stigma on my mind: individual differences in the experience of stereotype threat
Article Abstract:
The individual differences in stigma consciousness that moderate the impact of gender stereotypes on the math performance of women is investigated. The results indicate that women high in stigma consciousness scored worse than women low in stigma consciousness on a math test.

Memory monitoring and the control of stereotype distortion
Article Abstract:
A framework is provided for investigating the role of conscious experience in regulating stereotype-based memory distortions. The nature of stereotype memory biases, their underlying processes, and people's ability to control them are discussed.

The effectiveness of self-reports versus unobtrusive measures in capturing stereotype threat anxiety is explored. A moment when one's performance on a particular task might confirm negative stereotype about one's group is a stereotype threat.
