New software for home ownership counseling

Fannie Mae is offering free computer software that will help people determine if they can afford to purchase a home and how much can afford to pay. The Department of Housing and Urban Development hopes the software will help those on public and assisted housing acquire their own homes.

Issues related to a new form and new features of the US Dept Housing and Urban Development's Office of Public and Indian Housing's Multifamily Tenant Characteristics Stystem (MTCS), which is a computer system that collects and stores data on families, are examined. Automated inspections
Article Abstract:
Inspection software allows a public housing inspector to download his schedule and check lists into a handheld computer, complete the inspection using the handheld and then load the data back into the computer and print appropriate letters. One software product on the market is the Graphical Remote Inspection Program by ISSI.
