Only one in three people with alcohol abuse or dependence ever seek treatment
Article Abstract:
Using data from a Canadian population survey the proportion of respondents who had a lifetime diagnosis of alcohol abuse or dependence who ever attended addiction treatment were determined. It reveals that respondents' age and severity of alcohol problem were significantly associated with addiction treatment attendance.
