Multicultural social work in the United States: a review and critique
Article Abstract:
The growing problem of institutionalized racism in the US has led multicultural social work to reevaluate its approaches. Multicultural social work aims to solve this by adapting both approaches of cultural sensitivity and anti-racism. Eventually, a culturally pluralistic society is envisioned to develop. Social workers in other countries, specially in Europe, can adapt similar approaches as that implemented by multicultural social work in the US.
