Perceived intragroup variability as a function of group status and identification
Article Abstract:
A study conducted on group perception shows that when the group is perceived as being worse than the comparison group, individuals who identify themselves with the group assert the group's similarities. However, individuals who do not make this association assert the group's differences. The low identifiers attempt to distance themselves from the group to protect their own interests while the high identifiers try to preserve the group. When the group is perceived as being better than the comparaison group there is no difference in the group perception of the high and low identifiers.

Black experimenters and the intellectual test performance of white participants: the tables are turned
Article Abstract:
This article compares the performance of white participants on intellectual ability tests administered by white or black experimenters. Findings indicate that the presence of a black experimenter results in higher test scores, especially for subjects with high social dominance orientations, due to increased feelings of competition and motivation.

The impact of individualist and collectivist group norms on evaluations of dissenting group members
Article Abstract:
Two experiments were conducted to investigate the impact of individualist and collectivist norms on evaluations of dissenting group members. The results show that traditional conceptualizations of deviant behavior should take into account whether group norms encourage uniformity or differentiation among group members.
