Post-traumatic stress disorder: treatment outcomes for a Kuwaiti child
Article Abstract:
A study using a single subject design was conducted on a child with post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD) to examine treatment outcomes. The results suggested that the design enabled social workers to assess, monitor and measure the course of the subject's treatment. It was also shown that children who experience political violence and wars have a higher degree of vulnerability to various forms of psychological reactions. Moreover, the stigma attached to therapy and certain cultural constraints lessen the opportunity for these children to receive the needed treatment.

The self-image of adolescents and its relationship to their perceptions of the future
Article Abstract:
The relationship between the self-image of 1196 Israeli adolescents and their perceptions of the future is examined. The findings suggest that the adolescents were most certain about their ability to complete matriculation, to serve in the army, to achieve a reasonable economic status, to get married and raise a family and avoid developing delinquent behavior.
