Article Abstract:
This article examines social factors associated with smoking cessation between adolescence and young adulthood. Findings indicate that marrying a nonsmoker and experiencing a decrease in smoking friends are associated with quitting smoking and that social roles are less significant than social networks in predicting cessation during young adulthood.
