Productivity is not enough: A comparison of interactive and nominal brainstorming groups on idea generation and selection
Article Abstract:
The study is conducted to test whether the productivity advantage of nominal groups result in better idea selection. The results suggests that high productivity in brainstorming is not sufficient to lead to better solutions because there were no difference among conditions in quality of the selected ideas by the nominal and interactive groups.

Relative accessibility of domain knowledge and creativity: the effects of knowledge activation on the quantity and originality of generated ideas
Article Abstract:
Experiments are conducted to verify the deep exploration hypothesis which suggests that the originality of generated ideas is dependent on the extent to which people deeply explore their knowledge. Results are found to support the theory.

Production blocking and idea generation: does blocking interfere with cognitive processes?
Article Abstract:
Production blocking interferes with the cognitive activity of generating ideas is argued and hypothesis in three laboratory experiments is tested. The two ways in which production blocking interfered with idea generation is discussed.
