Professional group power in developing society
Article Abstract:
Professions need a certain amount of independence from the state, which would enable them to protect and carry out their activities. The need for professional group power in developing society is illustrated by referring to long-term historical and sociopolitical developments in Egypt, Indonesia, and Mexico.
