Public opinion of corruption in Russia
Article Abstract:
Center for Public Opinion Research survey in October 2004 as well other surveys carried out show the perception of public opinion on corruption. Russians seem to be aware of the dangers that corruption poses to the country's national interests, while on the other hand, the comparatively low level of concern about corruption is explained by asserting that people have become used to and have adjusted to the prevalence of corruption in most public institutions.

The bureaucracy and ruling authority
Article Abstract:
The Russian bureaucracy has changed substantially in the last fifteen years under the new economic and political conditions but the Russians do not demonize the Russian bureaucracy. Economic inequality is seen by survey respondents as a bigger threat to public life than a lack of political power according to the analysis on the bureaucracy.
