The business of becoming a professional sociologist: unpacking the informal training of graduate school
Article Abstract:
There is a necessity to master the informal professional culture associated with academic sociology and thus a practical advice about informal norms in graduate schools and an advice about how to navigate the graduate school realities presented by these norms is offered. It is also believed that the sociologists should focus on the profession in which such norms are readily acknowledged and formally considered for the benefit of teaching graduate schools.
