Reform and improve the medical care system to enhance the quality of life among the elderly
Article Abstract:
The medical insurance system in China is based on "low-level-and-wide-coverage" principle, which plays a very limited role in satisfying the medical and health care needs of its elderly population. Reforms to improve quality of medical and health care services and popularizing health education/management will go a long way in bringing longevity, health and happiness in the society

Who shall determine who the urban poor are?
Article Abstract:
The variation in structural framework and systematic characteristics the scheme exhibited in different cities, the operational definition of ' the poor', and the process of administering the scheme is discussed. The study focuses upon the minimum-living-standard scheme's process of development, its design and establishment as system, and its implementation.
