Social reinforcement of substance abuse treatment aftercare participation: impact on outcome
Article Abstract:
A study conducted to demonstrate that social reinforcement of aftercare participation improves aftercare adherence over standard care, is presented. The results indicated that introduction of social reinforcement into aftercare group therapy increases the frequency and duration of aftercare participation.

Discriminating drug-dependent women from alcoholic women and drug-dependent men
Article Abstract:
Discriminant analysis techniques were used to obtain differential diagnosis of alcoholic women from drug-dependent women. Alcoholic women were found to exhibit traits similar to those of drug-dependent men. Implications for treatment strategies are discussed.
